ASU EBA update – Cardinia Shire Council has made a pay offer

EBA negotiations are ongoing at Cardinia with our next bargaining meeting on Tuesday 30 April 2024.

Council has provided their initial response to ASU claims. You can see their responses here.

Council has made first pay offer of 3% per year for three years. This isn’t a shocking offer, but we want to do better. The cost of living has everyone tightening their purse strings and, with CPI continuing to rise, members deserve more! You have told us over the past months that a pay increase is the most important thing to you!

ASU has asked council to provide costing data to demonstrate what a 3% increase will mean for your fortnightly pay. We will share this information with you once we receive it and get your feedback on next steps via a survey. So hold tight for more info!

The question for you is – will you fight for more? We need more members and more power in the workplace to achieve a higher pay increase.
